"Aveline! Just the Guard Captain I wanted to see! W-wait!!! I know you're still a TEENSY bit mad at me for leveling that building, but I'll have you know I was doing you a favor! It was structurally unsafe and I didn't want poor Ser Donnic to go and get smooshed by the roof! How about you and I go get a pint or two and we talk about lowering Isabela's bail and NOT linger on the past! Look on the brighter side of things yes?"
As much as she adored Hawke, the familiar, overly-cheerful voice was the last thing she wanted to hear first thing in the morning.
”— Hawke,” she began tersely, attempting to keep her voice calm and steady as she reached up to pinch the bridge of her nose, brow furrowing. “While I appreciate your offer, I’m afraid I’ll have to decline. By leveling that building, however just your intentions might’ve been, you’ve done nothing but cause more trouble and work for me and my men. We’ll be lucky if we’re allowed home tonight.”
”— Oh. And one more thing. The day that I lower that whore’s bail is the day this world comes to an end.”
